Democracy for knowledge!!!!
This is why I am so easily disliked---truth is not an opinion!
If I had infinite time, I'd correct a lot of wikopedia's articles.
I enjoyed Colbert Report's take on this.
Wikis have many valuable uses...I will start using them.
Libraries can do lots of sharing as can any organization; especially if the knowledgable peons contribute what they see and know.

I have been using you tube for awhile and enjoy it. It's cool to be able to see library conference talks, I tried hulu, but they have commercials in the tv show episodes. I don't watch tv partly because of the commercials. DVDs allowed me to start watching tv shows.

I scoped out fancast and no commercials! The video quality is still not on par with DVDs. By the way, I watch dvds on my PC. I don't own a tv. I'll probably use both for things like previewing shows or the interviews.

All three sites are useful for libraries for the info they all have in answering questions.

I joined eons, being a baby boomer. I joined the singles group, and looked at the other members of that group. Since I am cynical and rather pessimistic about (human) life at present, I probably won't get a lot of new friends. That's okay; I am what I am....

the golden or the platinum rule?

I am spending more time looking things up on other's blogs. It is a little strange for me as I don't usually inquire into people's private lives unless i know them quite well.
I'm wondering if anyone else has ever gotten into trouble by following the so called "golden rule". It has been the bane of my life. I discovered the "platinum rule" a few years ago---Do unto others as they want done to them.
